Flake Ice Maker

North star USA design flake ice maker is available in 8 Models, such as:

Each model is available in carbon steel freezing surface or stainless steel feezing surface as per customer's choice.
The ice removal tool (IRT) is available in stainless steel CS models too.
Scope of supply consists of flake ice makers, IRT with motor drive, feed water pump with motor, water distribution tube, salt water addition tank, safety relief valve on refrigerant side, accumulator for refrigerant- gas/liquid separation.
Our ice makers are based on North star USA design & patented with thermo siphon refrigerant evaporation technology (Patent No. 196532 & 197817). This reduces the cost of ice manufacturing compared to other refrigeration techniques.
Avoids water entry in bearing-due to patented water distribution system involving water tank below the top rotor & drive top gear box
Ice making from sea water or other liquids at different capacity than specified in the table below is also possible.
Can be installed on land, abroad ships
Designs are USDA approved for food applications

Optional Scope of Supply

Ice maker can be supplied as packaged systems, in skid mounted or containerized condition
In built water chiller available when freezing temp, of -15°C to -20°C is to be used for economy.

Package Flake Ice maker

Salient Features:

The condensing unit and ice maker are on common base frame/containers.

Ready to install type requiring only connection of the main electrical control panel, connecting the coolant water addition of refrigerant/oil etc.

The refrigerant piping are supplied with the package.
When you prefer to separate the ice maker and condensing unit the ice maker is supported over the top of your storage bin. The condensing unit can be moved to a convenient place.

Based on evaporation at -20 degree celsius
Water cooled condenser with condensing temperature 40 degree celsius

Note:

The ice maker capacities are governed by the operating conditions stated above.
For lower condensing temperature the ice manufacturing capacity rises 1% per degree lower condensing temperature till 32 degree, quantity of cooling water rises slightly
Sea water cooling based units can also be offered.
